Situated in the fjord Eyjafjördur on Icelands northern coastline. Akureyri is the second largest city in Iceland.
The city is heated by geothermal heat from the underground.
Akureyri has some of the best ski slopes in Iceland. All kinds of winter activities are possible here, including snow-scooting.
